Meaning of Home

Some people might say that home is a place where you sleep and eat and have fun and cook, but to me, that’s a house. It’s a place where all your belongings are. A house is different than a home; it can feel unsafe or be just a collection of things. I’m lucky though. I live in a home. A home is where your heart is. In my home, I feel safe, loved, and comfortable. My family, including my dog, lives together happily. Home is a place to go after school or after a bad day at work. It can be fun and colorful or even boring, but if there is love, it is a home. My grandparents live far away, but when I visit them, I don’t feel like I am visiting their houses; I feel like I am visiting a home because of all the love. However, in my case I have a home that’s also a house.
