Home

Home to me isn't just a house, it's a wonderful place. A place where I could spend time with my family, somewhere I can rest and somewhere I can do the things that I love. Home is also a place where I always feel safe and welcomed. When I feel sick, sad, or having a bad day, home is the only place I want to be so I feel better. At home, I feel like I can be myself because the other people in my home love me no matter what. One year ago, my family moved into a new house. I was super sad because I couldn’t imagine any other house feeling like home. I had previously lived there since I was born. I have so many memories of that house. I had so much fun growing up there. I remember lots of fun parties, play dates and just sitting in my living room watching movies with my family. Living there was such a pleasure. After a little while, my new house started to feel like home again. I started making even more memories here and even more to look forward to in the future. Now, this house makes me feel super happy, comfortable, and grateful. I’m grateful for having a home because some people don’t have homes. Some people have a home but they don't feel safe or happy there. Sometimes somebody's home is not even where they live. It could be a grandparent’s house, a friend's house, a city, or even a church. Home is anywhere you feel loved, comfortable, and safe.
