A House is Not a Home

In homes we make memories like having sleepovers and telling spooky ghost stories in the dark. We dress up in costumes and count all our candy real late at night on a fun holiday called halloween. In homes we bake cookies and muffins while spending time with our families. We are sheltered from storms with lightning or snow. In a home we feel safe and supported by the ones we love. We sing songs and have feasts to celebrate the special holiday we call Christmas. In our homes we share our traditions with family and friends. It’s where we mark the dates of growth and firsts. Homes are where we play with our pets and watch them grow. Where there is no judgment and you are not afraid to show yourself. In our homes tears are shed and smiles are shown! Homes are where we flourish and thrive. A home is a sweet and cozy place. Whether the home is big or small does not matter. Homes give you shelter and protection. Everyone deserves a home! Thank you habitats for humanity for providing homes to plenty of people who deserve them. We are forever grateful to you.
