What is Home To Me?

What is home to me? Home is like a limitless memory jar that treasures all of my lifetime memories. I still remember the first time I rode a bike without training wheels. The crisp autumn breeze brushed past me; and the flow of excitement ran from my head to toe. Home is like a breathtaking culture river. A river that flows from my ancestors to me. A river that has little pieces of traditions added every day. We celebrate Chinese New Year by eating appetising fish, rice cakes, dumplings and rice. After we eat we go to the domino table and play dominoes. Home is a place where the fresh smell of mashed potatoes lingers in the air, where everything feels like they are in the right place and right time. Home is a unique universe that is shared with my family. A universe that never stops growing with pride and joy. All parts of the universe are connected with bonds and shared happiness. Bonds are formed when my family share meals, stories, and adventures. Home is a stable house where my family acts like a foundation. All pieces of the foundation support each other to stay strong. When one of us feels sad or mad we will all comfort and encourage them. Home is a magical memory jar, an unstoppable culture river, a perfect place, a special universe and a stable house.
