The Meaning of Home

A home is not just a roof over your head. A home is a place you can feel cared for, a place you can show affection, a place where you feel loved. A home should feel comforting. I feel a cat snuggling at my feet. I hear a fire crackling in the living room. I smell a new stew cooking. But once a friend of mine could not feel any of that because she didn’t have a home to call hers but we are working together to fix it. Thankfully by raising money for Habitat for Humanity we are helping someone like my friend to get a home that will mean so much to her.
