What Home Means To Me!

Home isn’t always a building. Sometimes it’s a person. Sometimes it’s a moment. Sometimes it’s just the sense that I belong, that I’m wanted, that I matter. Home sounds like familiar voices, or even comfortable silence. It smells like memories. It feels warm, even when the room is cold. Home means spending time with loved ones that care and love you! Home is the place that you come after school, work or your afterschool clubs. My home makes me feel happy, loved and cared for like every home should feel like. Home can be messy. It can be imperfect. But it still feels right. My home smells like clean clothes, freshly baked cookies in the oven or a home cooked meal.. Home is where you grew up with the people that care for you! Home is where you get hugs from family members that feel like you're in outer space! Home is a place where you feel cared for, safe, warm, cozy and comfortable. A house can exist without love. But home is built from comfort, trust, and connection. And when I find that feeling—wherever it is—that’s home.
