Home

To me, home is not just where your stuff is. Home is where your family is. A few months ago, I moved from Canmore to here, Saltspring Island. I've made a few friends, but I don’t have as many as I have back in Canmore! My friend Toby sent me a letter. It made me feel like he was right here with me! I collect souvenirs from everywhere I go: a medal I got for running a marathon, a toy from Mexico, some chocolate from my mom. But the real souvenirs are the friends and the memories I have made along the way. I like having the souvenirs out in my home so I can look at them and remember the trip. Home to me is not just where you sleep, it is where you learn to do all the things you can do today. I hope everyone can have a home like me!
