A New Home

Last year I moved to Edmonton with my dad and stepmom. Before that, I lived in Toronto with my mom and my other stepmom. Everything felt different right away. New streets. New routines. A new school where nobody knew my name yet. I missed my old friends, and I missed my old home. Not just the building, but the way it felt to be there. In Toronto, I already knew how my days worked. In Edmonton, I had to learn everything again, like starting a game with no tutorial. But I learned something: missing your old life doesn’t mean you can’t build a new one, with a new home.
