"What is Home?"

First and Foremost, home is a feeling, not a place. A house is a building with four walls and a roof. Home to me is a safe yet chaotic place. Home is where I stay, and home is where I play. Four walls and a roof is not a home. We have fights and flights. But it’ll always end in happiness. Home is fun and playful, the memories will stay, but the address might not. Home is a place to sleep, and a place to compete. Home isn’t just a place to stay, it’s a place to enjoy life. A place to rest. The safe building that I call home is my safety spot. Away from all the stress, all the tests. Everyday, after I come home, my parents say, “hi,” and I get to play. My sister jumps around in complete joy. I feel at home if I am accounted for, loved and taken care of. Home is a place to rest, regain some energy and play. I always feel comfortable at home, even if I’m not in a house. I know that my thoughts about home might change, but most importantly, Home is a feeling, not a place, that’s what a house is.
