Home is Where My Heart is...

My home is where I belong; And learn how to get along; A house is a structure and a place; A home is where everyone should feel safe. When I think of home, I think of my grandpa making borscht and preparing a feast; When I think of home, I think of my mom and I, watching Beauty and the Beast; When I think of home, I think of my dad and I spending time together; When it happens, my heart is as light as a feather. When I think of home, I think of my brother watching sports; He loves playing soccer in the summer wearing shorts; When I think of home, I think of my dog and I going out for a morning jog; Shes so sweet and loves hearing the bird's tweet. When I think of home, I think of my cat, who is so fluffy; We lay together cuddly, curled up so snuggly; When I think of home, I think of my room; Quiet but vibrant, it's where I sleep under the moon. When I think of home, I think of our kitchen table; Three meals a day, makes my body stable. I would not be able to do any of these things without my home; Everyone should have a house to call their own. Written by Elsa Jane Delegarde
