WHAT HOME MEANS TO ME

To me, home means a place to stay. A place to unwind. To feel safe and protected. To me, home is not just four walls and a roof. You must love home. The entrance, where you can finally be in your safe place. Where you can just drop everything and just be. The living room, for leisure, relaxation, play, and work. The kitchen, where the aromas of spice, sauces, and everything beyond come to life. The dining table, where you can eat mounds of rice, chicken, spice, and everything you adore. The bathroom, where you relax, unwind, and let everything out. Your bedroom, where you can get privacy, ask prayers, and have time alone. For me, home is not just limited to four walls, a roof, and a door. It is a place to unwind, be free, be me, feel safe, feel relaxed, feel full, feel happy, and feel good. It is a place with a door, a living room, a kitchen, a dining table, a restroom, a bedroom, and more. Can you now see how a house is not just limited to four walls, a roof, and a door? Now, adore your house, whether it is small or big, tidy, or messy. It is your habitat, your home, your place to make memories. Home is home. Now, let me tell you of an example of when I got the meaning of home, home! “When will I get to home?” I was thinking of that when my tonsil surgery had just finished. When I was about to get discharged, my situation got worse, and I had to stay in the hospital for three more days! It was so sad. But when I finally did get discharged, I was so, so happy to finally get HOME!
