Home

Home is where comfort seeps through the floors and doors open for you to explore. Yet, a home doesn’t have to have floorboards and doors. Home doesn’t have to be public or private, as long as it’s where you belong. Home can be an apartment, an estate, a cardboard box, or a run-down building. Home can be far, but still close to your heart. Some may be big, others small. But as long as it’s a place you call home, you may rest and enjoy. My home is warm and smells of various foods, but mine may not be the same as yours. Some call a cardboard box home, under streetlights that light the night. Others stay in vans or cars, with no help within sight. Some people don’t even have a place to call “home.” It doesn’t have to be that way, though, as long as we help those in need. Maybe then they’ll find a new and improved place to rest and call home. Because everybody deserves their very own home.
