My Home

My home is not a house, not just a building that consists of four walls and a roof. My home is filled with happiness, joy and love. My home is where all my family and friends are with me no matter what happens. It is where I can celebrate holidays, like Christmas, and where I can go and be sheltered whenever I need it. I can hear my little brother ask me a question, and smell the delicious food that my dad is cooking. I see everybody around me, whether related to me by blood, like my mom and dad, or just close friends. I even feel at home when I am working with my dad in our barn, sorting through thousands of eggs coming on the egg belt. I feel at home in my room, when I can just be quiet and think peacefully. It is a place where I can reminisce over the past, and make plans for the future. Even though my home is loud, it is where I am most at peace, and where I am happiest. I think that a home is essential, as everybody deserves to love, and to be loved. A house is essential to, but bricks and a roof will never compare to the love that someone feels at home. A house is the title of a building, but a home is also feelings, family and friends. So in conclusion, my home is not just the place where I sleep at night, my home is where I am at peace, where I am happy, and where I am loved.
