What Home Means to Me

By : E.Z Grade : 5 School : Harrison P.S. Whenever I walk through the front door, I feel life sprinting at me. The warm air coming out of the kitchen makes me want to sit on my sofa and enjoy it. Home means alot to me, not just a shelter but lots of things that make me want to stay. When I’m bored, I can make some origami in a soft and comfortable chair. When I’m tired, I can lay in my bed and rest. Sometimes other people say, “ My house looks better than yours”. But, they are talking about the house, not the home. A house is different from a home because the inside place is my home. The outside is my shelter, which you look at. When it rains or snows, my shelter protects me from it. When I’ m sad or tired, my home protects me. That’s what home means to me. Thank you for listening.
