The Meaning of Home

Home means family, a house just means somewhere to live. Home is where I can walk in the kitchen each evening and smell my mom's cooking. Home is where I can climb into my warm bed that’s warm from the blankets. Home is where I can laugh and play with my three sisters. Home is where I can have clean clothes each day because of my mom who washes my clothes. Home is where I can bake cookies, fudge, and brownies with my mom. Home is where I can sit with my dad by the fire and listen to crackles. Home is where I can listen to the peace and quiet. Home is where I can hug my family tight. Home is where I can eat warm meals my mom and dad make. Home is not just a house. Thank you, habitat of humanity.
