My Meaning of Home
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be without a home?
Lately, I’ve been wondering about people who might not have a warm and safe home to live in. Thinking about these things make me really appreciative of my home and family.
One thing that really make me feel at home is my guitar. I enjoy playing my guitar when I feel a need to be at peace.
I just LOVE being able to come home knowing that I have an opportunity to feel like myself and knowing I have my own bed to sleep in.
I cherish the mornings when my whole family comes together to do a morning devotion on my parent’s bed.
I like knowing I have 6 people to come home to everyday, 6 people I know will take care of me, and 6 people I can take care of.
I treasure the warm and safe feeling of wrapping my blanket around me and when I wake up getting the chance to get dressed and pray.
I adore when it’s summer and I can ride a bike or play sports like volleyball with my siblings or ride our bikes to the basketball courts.
I admire the moments I’m able to sit down and do logic puzzles without having any worries about what I’m to eat the next day or how I’m going to need to find a place to sleep.
I’m so thankful for all the things God provides for me, and I’m so appreciative for teams like Habitat Humanity for helping others feel at home!
