In Eritrea, I hear people talking in Tigrinya. In Canada, I hear people speaking English. In Eritrea, I smell spices and animals because my family owns a farm there. In Canada, I smell cold air. In Eritrea, I see people cooking food and kids playing outside. In Canada, I see different people and they are walking in the snow. In Eritrea, I taste injera and ades. In Canada, I taste cheese pizza. In Eritrea, I had a big house. In Canada, I have a lot of choices for a better life. In Eritrea, I felt happy. In Canada, I feel grateful.
