What Home Means To Me

What home means to me By: Selena A home and a house are two completely different things, so I will compare them for you. A house might have a kitchen, but my home has a kitchen that me and my family try new dishes in. A house might have a backyard, but my home has a backyard that me and my sister blow up our bouncy castle and play in. A house might have a basement, but my home has a basement that me and my family turn on the projector to watch a movie in. A house might have a living room, but my home has a living room where me and my family blow up an air mattress and watch a movie in. A house might have a dining room, but my home has a dining room where on eid my whole family gathers around to have a big feast. A house might have some bedrooms, but my home has some bedrooms that I have sleepovers with my friends in. A house might have a laundry room, but my home has a laundry room that I never get my laundry basket back from. A house might have a washroom, but my home has a washroom that always has someone in. A house might have a furnace room, but my home has a furnace room that me and Yasmin (my sister) have never seen,(except for that one time when I was six I saw it.) so basically only Yasmin has never seen it. A house might have a closet, but my home has a closet that me and Yasmin like to play hide and seek in. A house might have a storage room, but my home has a storage room that I found a secret room in. A house might have a secret room, but my home has a secret room that I like to hide in. A home is a place where you feel safe, calm, cozy, and where you have plenty of memories, but a house is just a structure you can live in.
