Mi Casa

Cultura means home to me because it is religion, celebration, practices, food, traditional clothing, and family heirlooms. I'm going to tell you a story, it's real. I was born in a small place in Canada called Brandon. I moved to Winnipeg with mi mama. We are going to El Salvador in the summer. I'm excited but also a bit worried. My skin colour is white but that is half of my heritage, because I'm fifty percent Danisha and fifty percent El Salvadoran. My heritage is part of who I am and what I do. It is important to me. What's important about your home or cultura?
