The Meaning of Home

There is no family in school. This is how I know I am home because family is where you can get cozy. Schools can have beds but that’s not the same as home. School can be a shelter but home is better because it has your things and more fun. School can be fun because you can play with your friends. Recess is fun and indoor recess is extra fun. When I am at home, I am happy. At home, I can be myself. I can rest at home, but not at school. When I think of homeless people, I feel sad. They don’t know what it feels like to have a home. They don’t have a safe place to keep their things. People could steal their things when they are away and that doesn’t seem fair. This is why l know the meaning of home
