What home means to me.

By Sloane, age 11 Home is where I can be me, where I can explore, where I can just sit and relax. Home is a place I can go after a bad day and be surrounded by people I love and support. Home is one of the best places because I am not judged by how I look or act. Home is where I can wear sweats and a baggy tee and not be judged. I love going home to my dog. We can play or just lay down and I will still enjoy it. My home is private where no intruders can come in. My home is special where people are loved. My home has horses, goats, cats and dogs. My home is not all about the roof over my head but the people who made the roof and the people who are inside the house. A house is not a home. A house is something made for people to live inside it. A home is about the people inside it. My home is somewhere where I can have sleepovers, play dates, hang out or go on a walk. My home means so much to me. My home is a place where anyone or anything can be themselves that's why I love my home. Whether you want a family in your house or just you, that's what a home is. Family or no family, a home is a home, so enjoy it.
