What is a Home?

“What is a home?” I wanted to ask. My mom tells me, wherever she goes, that is my home. My dad said, a home is where you always feel safe and warm. But I always feel safe and warm in my house! Is a house a home? I always believe my school is safe! Is school a home? If the pattern is like this, does it mean a bird nest is a home for birds? Does it mean a house is a home? But it’s not! A home will always be safe and warm, but a house without people, it will be forgotten in a second. My dad’s right. A home is where you always believe, where you feel safe and warm. Everybody’s home is unique, but it doesn’t mean that two people’s home can’t be in the same place. Anyone can build the same place, but nobody can build its warmth and comfort. Habitat for Humanity will make sure to give more people a good home. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving everybody a good home.
