What Home Means To Me
Did you know that my family built our house the year I was born? I’m writing about my home and my farm. My home and my barn mean so much to me.
My home smells like the delicious smell of candles burning. The flame never goes out. My home sounds like thousands of dogs barking, bark, bark, and my brother screaming! I want to scream back at him. The TVs and computers are always on with a house full of teenagers. My home feels so cozy and warm. My home tastes like delicious home cooked meals that my mom and sisters make. My home looks like a barnyard just ran through it. Something special about my house is that we live on the property where my grandparents used to farm, and I'm the seventh generation to live here.
My barn smells like the delicious smell of cow poop. It never goes away. The barn sounds like cows moooooooooing, the cats meoowwing, and my brother doing what he does best, being annoying! My barn feels like a place that I can go to get out of the house. In the summer I go to the barn and train my calf. I teach her how to dance with her two back feet. My barn looks like the cows were running wild. A special memory I have in my barn is my dad and sisters helping me train my calf and milking with my mom and dad. Something special about my barn is that my grandparents farmed there too.
In conclusion, I have so many memories in both my house and barn, and I'm so very grateful for the life I live.
