What Home Means to Me

What home means to me. When I walk into my home, I hear laughter coming from the kitchen, I hear the tv on and I hear my husky-Gurman shepherd barking on the couch because he hears re delivery driver leaving our street. I smell fresh food being made, I smell a dog that was playing outside, and I smell warm chocolate cookies coming out of the oven. I see a dog coming to greet me at the door, I see my mom cooking supper and I see my room and, in my room, I see a warm bed. When I walk into my room, I sit on my bed covered with stuffed animals. I hear from my room my dog coming down the hallway. I touch my dog’s kennel in the hallway, I touch my mom in a hug. When I let go, I step to the side because I hear my dog coming towards us. I walk down the staircase to see my dad. I feel the scratchy carpet beneath my feet. I feel a smooth wood railing on my palm. I go to see my dad for a warm hug when my mom calls us for dinner my dad and I for dinner. When I sit down. I first have soup I can feel the warm soup going down my throat. After that we have chicken. It is good, very delicious and last, we have crunchy cucumbers and soft and sweet strawberries. We have dessert we have chocolate chip cookies they are warm and chewy. After all that it makes me feel more loved, safe, warm, grateful and appreciated. I love my home, my parents, and dog. All my family. That is what home means to me.
