A Home for People

A Home for the People I was lying in the warmth of my bed, staring out of the window into the city of Windsor. I can see the lights of the cars passing by my house. And I see some people trying to seek shelter from the winter cold. I see these people suffer without anything to survive. Some people walk by not even bothering to give a penny to these poor people. I feel pity for them. My school tends to donate to the people in need, and we had these kind volunteers who came in and talked to us about something called “Habitat for Humanity”. They showed us how to pay bills in the future and lf you don't end up with enough money it's hard to get entertainment and needs, as the house bills go up. I thought about that, before I decided to get up from my bed and go downstairs to look for something to help these people from the cold. I at least found a scarf and extra blankets. I saw my mom appear behind me as she looked dumbfounded. I told her about these poor people on the street and on how we can donate money and items to “Habitat for Humanity” so these kind people can donate to make houses and give people warm things to survive. My mom’s facial expression looked heart-warming. She knelt next to me and helped me find stuff to help the people in need without home or shelter. After finding at least twenty items to help the people in need, my mom loaded up the car, and we drove off to a “Habitat for Humanity” Restore. We managed to donate all these items to the people in need. And everyone there was very grateful. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for helping these people without houses!
