What does home mean to me?

To me, home isn’t just a few walls and a roof, It’s a place where connections are bound. A safe place to let your stories be told. A home is where happiness and joy unfold. Love can be found flying around the air, Added to homes as a special flair. Overflowing with care that you almost can’t bear! How much more can you really find there? Comfort and warmth can be found in every hug and kiss, It’s like an experience you just can’t miss. Whether you’re different or not, No identities will ever be asked to flee. It’s somewhere I know I can freely cry in, Somewhere that I won’t need to lie in. Memories waiting to be found anywhere you go, Just as exciting as a song with a great music flow. People I know that have hearts that glaringly glow. Siblings that you may sometimes share laughs with. Mothers as sweet as a sugar-filled bowl; Fathers as funny as a comedian’s show. My home is more than just a place, It’s somewhere I can be during every up and down in life. It’s a place that’s secure and protected through everything that comes. I’m so grateful for it; I love my home.
