The Meaning of Home

Here is what home means to me: Holidays: I love my home during the holidays because we decorate for Halloween and Christmas. I like to look at the decorations because they are nice and cool. They make me feel excited for the upcoming holidays. Family: My family loves and cares for each other. We also play games like Monopoly, Uno, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Astro Bot, and The Game of Life. We also have extended family come visit for dinner, holidays, and babysitting. And on Sundays, my dad has a day off, so we can have twice the fun! Peace/Safety: Home is very peaceful. There is not a lot of chaos. Our backyard is so beautiful and peaceful. At night we can look up at the stars. I feel safe at my house because it is in the country. We have security cameras too which helps keep us safe. Nature/Adventure: We live on 13.7 acres of land in the country. We have a large pond full of fish with a bridge to go fishing and rock skipping. Last year, we got a paddle boat and me and my dad enjoy using it. We have a shed to store our tools. We have walking trails and even a beehive! We have a honey business called Hendershot Honey and we sell raw, organic honey straight from the hive. We also have a hot tub that we use. We like to look at the stars and chit chat. Sometimes, we also see animals on our property. like deer, coyotes, turkeys, geese, heron, and owls. Hobbies/Activities: At my house I like to play basketball, soccer, go in the hot tub, shoot targets, and ride on my scooter. My dad and I like to ride on the side by side ATV.
