What Home Means to Me
The entryway where I walk in after a long school day only to smell my moms homemade cookies baking in the oven.
As I walk and place my bag on my hook I hear my dogs running towards me. I can hear their tiny paws hitting the tile on my floor as they're so happy that I'm back.
The living room where my family talks and plays. The weekend means it is board game night. It's always a mystery what we will play but no matter what it's always my favorite part of the day.
My bedroom where I feel safe. My room is a happy place as sunlight shines in through the blinds on my window as warm and cozy in my bed at night knowing I'm safe all the time.
The kitchen where I bake with my mom. Having fun all day long. I help make breakfast for my family. While the dogs are giving me puppy dog eyes begging for food.
My backyard where my dogs play and go to the bathroom. Where I practice baseball till it's dark while my sisters play on the swings.
A house is no more than four walls and a roof but home is where family talk and play.
Thank to Habitat for Humanity for building homes for people in need.
