Jeremy and the Meaning of a Home

One day Jeremy and his mom were driving home from school when Jeremy said ‘‘ my teacher said I had an assignment where I have to figure out what the difference is between A house and a home is but I don't know the difference,’’ Then his mom said ‘‘well a house has four walls and a roof but home is a place where you feel safe, secure and comforted,” then Jeremy said “so you mean anyone could have a house but you need to turn that house in to a loving and caring house.’’ Correct, said his mom ! “Do you understand?’’ asked his mom." Yep,’’ yelled Jeremy, ' I am ready,’’ Then when him and his mom got home Jeremy was asked ‘ what did you do at school today?’’ by his dad and Jeremy told him ' ‘I got an assignment on what the difference was between a house and a home ’’. Jeremy's dad asked him to explain the difference and he said and Jeremy explained "a house has four walls and a roof but a home is where you are cared for and you are trusted.” Perfect” said his dad and Jeremy went to go play football with his friends . The next day Jeremy was asked '' what is the difference between a house and a home’’ then Jeremy confidently answered “ a house is a place , anyone could get a house but the hard part is turning it into a home . The difference is a house has four walls with a roof but a home is a loving caring home with people who you trust who you know and who you love! ’’ Amazing,’’ said the teacher! The next day when he walked in school he noticed he had his assignment on his desk with a big red A+ on the top corner!
