What is a home?

I have been asked a question, What is a home? I would say that it's a place Where you can freely roam! It is something that makes sure you know. It is a place where you can always go. What is a house? Is it the same? It is a place where you can say: I have a warm bed and a roof over my head. But is a house a home? Well it depends. A home is a place with your family and friends It is a place that you will always defend And while a house is important And can be a home A home can be a house But a house is not always a home. Sitting alone is never the same As being at home where love burns like a flame When being together is something essential Why give it up for something integral You may take care of your needs, be they physical or mental But that can't quite compare to the hug so gentle When you sit in your house, You can still feel small If there's no one there There is no one to love Your heart will stand still Like a chained-up dove. But all in all What I am trying to say is that A house has a roof a ceiling and walls But a home has love, the most important thing of all.
