Meaning of Home

Home means my mom’s delicious treats and wonderful dinners like cappelletti soup on a cold winter day. Home means my Oma’s gravy, rice, schnitzel, breakfast sausages and my favourite treats like butter tarts. Home means the fresh air outside and feeling cozy and warm inside while snuggling under a cozy blanket by a warm fireplace. Home means smelling my beautiful hockey wax while getting ready for hockey. Home means having love in the space you are in. It is more than a roof over your head. It is a place where you feel safe, loved, comfortable and welcomed. Not only do you feel comfortable in your home, but it is a feeling about how you feel in your environment. Home is a place where you feel like you belong and get along with people. It is a place to be thankful for one another and where you feel protected. Home isn’t just a building that you live in, it is where love and happiness flows.
