Meaning of Home to Me:)

Home is where I feel most comfortable and happy. My room, time with my family, and the sports I play are what make home such a special place in my life. After school, I head straight to my room, where I spend most of my time. I enjoy playing mini sports like soccer, basketball, and volleyball, using smaller equipment. I’m also an avid reader, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians is one of my favorite series. My room has a bookshelf full of books, and a desk by the window that gets great natural light. I also have LED lights that change color, with modes like “Fade 3,” which makes the lights automatically shift between colors. At home, I have a great family—my mom, dad, and sister. Since my parents are both musicians, they often have concerts, which means I sometimes have a babysitter. My sister and I can be a handful, but we always have dinner together, and it’s usually homemade by my parents. They’re both hilarious and can always make us laugh, especially my dad. My sister has a quirky sense of humor too, and she’s always coming up with funny things that get us all laughing. Sports are another big part of my life. I play for SC Toronto’s Navy soccer team, and I also enjoy basketball, shinny (a more relaxed version of hockey), and ball hockey. Although I find ball hockey a bit more challenging than ice hockey, I still have a lot of fun with it. For me, home is special because of the time I spend with my family, the comfort of my room, and the sports I love. I hope you think about what makes your home special to you, too. A home is where we feel safe, loved, and at ease.
