What home means to me

Early in the morning I hear foot steps and it is my brother getting ready for school. I usually sleep in but then my mom gets me up. I go into the living room and feel the hot fireplace that warms the house up. I always feel safe in my house because I have lived there all my life. After eating food and getting ready for school my mom drives me to school. After school I walk back home and realize that I should be grateful for a home, a shelter, a place to celebrate holidays and a place to stay safe. That is what home means to me.
