Memories Echo Back at Me

I feel the fuzzy carpet and the floorboards creak beneath my feet, in the morning. I touch the wall with my hands as I walk in the hallway. I feel grooves and markings. Memories echo back at me. The midnights are lit by the moon. Even though I’m sleeping. Hugs and kisses blessings and wishes. Memories echo back at me. A wardrobe filled with clothes Pink, yellow, blue and green. With small intricate jewelry lying on the ground. Time clicks on a clock Random things found lying around. Memories echo back at me. Laughs, smiles, joyful thoughts Love is passed around, a lot. Strings played on a guitar they scream “she’s gonna go far”. Overthinking everything notes, sketching, drawings. Memories echo back at me. Hopeful looks reading books. Dog’s death after a trip but memories come back to me. In a place that’s called home where anyone is welcome. Door to door, heart to heart every house has its own spark.
