What I Call Home
Home
Written and Illustrated By: Jane Semanyk
Home is a place where I feel safe and sheltered.
Cozy, warm and supported.
In my home I am ready for anything,
Because I know I’m protected from everything
In my home we have visitors
and they give me love and kindness.
I also have two cats, a Mom and a Dad,
they never say I’m bad.
A home can be made of sticks and stones
or even big blocks of snow.
A house is where you are not really shown
but a home is a place where you are really known.
A home is where you have a heart
or all that you adore.
All the walls have stories as they soak up all we do and say
from sweet scented candles to pictures and handles.
This home is just right to share.
This is a place that we all call home.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for making so many lives great again. Thank you for building houses and making others feel loved and special. We know this money is for a great cause. We hope you like our poem! You are so awesome. Thank you!
