New Home

A house is just a structure with walls, floors, rooms and chairs while a home is loyal, warm, loving and safe. A home is special where good memories are made, while a house is some place we stay. A welcomes you with open arms, while a house is just where you open doors. When I first came to Canada, everything was different. When I got to my apartment, my mom called my mom called my best friend from Nigeria. After, I told her I didn’t want to eat anymore while crying a little, but she didn’t notice. I started going to school finally and the kids there made me feel welcome! I really enjoyed Canada, but I was going back to Nigeria for vacation, and I wasn’t going back to the same school. It really felt like home at that school with the amazing friends that I had made. I learned that you could find home even in new places.
