Memories in Home

What home means to me is when I go to Hilton Head Island every Christmas. When I start to see palm trees I know we are close. When I get there all I want to do is go down to the beach and jump in the crashing waves. We always take a sunset selfie every time we go and I love seeing how much I have grown over the past years. The fresh air is so nice, the palm trees give off a tropical smell that makes me calm and relaxed inside. I have made so many memories while being in Hilton Head and more to come in further years. When I am there I feel safe, calm and full of joy. My favourite part of all is how the sand feels on my feet. When I am walking on the beach I start to relax and feel calm inside. I don’t feel this feeling anywhere else, just here in my safe place with my family. I call Hilton Head Island my home away from home because it is a place where I feel the most relaxed and calm.
