The Five Senses of Home

A home is a building, yes that is true, but it’s also a place with feelings so true. All of our senses, smell, touch, taste, sight and sound, they help us feel the love that’s all around. Windows, ceilings, walls and floors, keep all of the memories that our home stores. That smell of fresh bread just sitting on the stove it’s as beautiful as a bright wildflower grove. The clack, clack, clack on marble so bright, my dog's paws dancing in soft, steady flight. The sound’s so comforting, it lifts me up so high, like I could soar up into the sky. The sight of my brother in a sunbeam’s embrace, makes me laugh, with a smile on my face. Safety and comfort can be found in a home, it is a place where nobody should feel alone. So now you know a home isn’t just wood or drywall, it’s a place full of love for us all.
