The Meaning of Home to Me

So we all know houses and homes are the same thing. Right?! Actually they're not even close to the same things, you see a home is filled with laughter and joy for everyone to see. Where as a house is a building with walls, floors and roofs. If you're talking about a home you could use the famous saying, Live, Love, Laugh. Because that might be what you think of when you think of a home. Not everyone has a house. But no matter who you are, how you act, or how you look. You will always have a home. Now some people might say that they would rather have a house than a home, but they are wrong. A house might be a place that has walls and a roof, but a home is much more important with love and happiness, it doesn't matter about the shape or size of the house. It matters that your home comes with you. You also might have a pet in your house that reminds you of home. For example one of my cats Lexi. Every time I walk in the door she greets me by rubbing her head against my legs. And it is just adorable when she curls up in a ball next to me before I go to bed. She follows me around, and I just know when she hears her treat bag open, she will run as fast as her little legs go. That is an example of something that reminds me of home. Another example is how you might feel safe in your house or home. Did you realise how I said house (or) home, well that's because there could be a spot you feel safe in your house, but there could also feel safe when your at home. In my conclusion this is the difference between a house and a home. Thank you Habitat for Humanity.
