The Meaning of Home

If I had a million dollars, I would buy houses and give them away. People sometimes cannot afford houses and are renting houses, if they don’t pay rent on time, they’ll be evicted. So it’s better to have your own house. Home is where your memories are, home is where family is, home is a place to belong. Home does not need to be inside a house, home is where you mentally and physically feel safe. I, myself, left my home country because of COVID-19, and I miss my grandparents, my aunt, my uncle, and my cousins. House is only a building, but a home can be anywhere as long as you feel safe or else it’s not home. Home is where you feel safe and home is where you learn. My home smells of spicy food, meat, vegetables, and fruits. Home has sounds of chattering people because that’s where you and your family live. A home without family is like a forest without birds. If your home country is China, one of your traditions is probably Chinese New Year, when you light up fireworks with your family there will be sounds of BOOM! Because the fireworks explode, and it‘s fun to be together with your family. Home is where the heart is.
