Home is Not Just a House

Home to me is not just a house, it is where I took my first steps, home is my childhood. If it wasn't for my home I wouldn't be where I am today. Home is where we can accept all people of Canada and be inclusive to all people and their culture. When the scent of baking delicious cookies fills the kitchen with essence it gives me the feeling that I am in the right place.From the times with family with a nice cup of tea watching the birds chirp from the window, to the nice family dinners, there's no place I'd rather be. Home is not just the four walls around you but your community, friends, and family. I feel like I can be myself around my friends and I am happier than ever. Home is a place where I can feel safe and know I can always go to when I am in trouble, I can laugh with family and friends and be cheerful. When the sweet feeling of glee fills my heart I know when I am in the right place. I couldn't imagine not being and growing up here, Canada is where I feel alive and where I belong. Home is more than just a house, it is where I can laugh, play and be myself and I never want to lose my home sweet home.
