What is a home?

Dear Habitat for Humanity, February, 20 2025 What is a home? A house is not a home, A house is just a building but a home is a place where you should be free to express yourself and your emotions. A home is a place where you feel safe, and warm through the night. A house is not a home because a house just is a place you go, but a home I feel like I belong and wont be judged. Not all homes feel the same, but mine is special. I always look forward to going home and seeing my cat, because he is warm and fluffy so I look forward to getting cuddles from him. I also love seeing my family at the end of the day and getting to talk to them. Something that reminds me of home is having super warm baths with bath bombs and candles at the end of the day to calm down and relax. Although we have good memories there are times when we feel sad emotions and I still feel safe to feel that feeling. A house is not a home, a home is a place that I feel safe, and can share with family and friends or loved ones. Some people can't quite afford homes and that makes me really sad so I am writing this letter to try and help make people houses that they can afford. Thank you for reading and helping the people on our earth. Sincerely, Scarlet.
