Home, a state of mind
Home isn’t necessarily a place. When we think of home, we think of a house, with a stable roof, and a big, cozy space. If you look at things from a different perspective, you could see that home is a state of mind. It’s a state where you feel safe. It could be anything, from being outside in freezing cold weather, to being in a cozy modern house. What matters is if your mind feels calm and relaxed.
For me, home would be in a cozy, tight space, with my whole family, including my extended family. At that moment, my mind would feel calm and relaxed, and that state of mind is home. If I was with my whole family, I wouldn’t feel unsafe, since I have countless guardians to keep me safe. Still, that’s just my opinion. You may feel at home in an open space without anyone, which is the exact opposite of my imagination of home, but as long as your mind feels at home, you can call that place home.
You just need to have that feeling, where you feel relaxed and comfortable. Home is limitless, and it could be anywhere, because it doesn’t matter where you are. What matters is what you feel. Under the harshest of circumstances, you could be at home, since you just need to feel at home, as home is a state of mind.
