Time for Tea

I see home like no one else, it is dark most of the time, but when I see light it is filled with joy, I see home like no one else, the way I hold the warmth on a cold day, I see home like no one else, preparing for a heart to heart talk, I see home like no one else, the loneliness of rich guests, the cozy gratitude of humble visitors, why is it often that way? I see home like no one else, I have seen the familiar carpet age just like me, I see home like no one else, the traditions and the passing down of stories and old things, as well as how to protect them, I see home like no one else, the smells of family cooking and sounds of siblings arguing and then playing, I see home like no one else, I have seen the sadness of lonely people and I know that when family comes over all of that melts away, I see home like no one else, I have learned the language of the happy people, I see home like no one else, I know home is always there, celebrating or mourning, it burns, comforts, gathers, and cools.
