What A House and A Home Is to Me House A house, a house has four walls, windows , doors, and a roof. We spend time building the house. But never in the house. A house is dusty and old, a house has no life. A house to me is nothing but a building. Home Home. Home to me is a place to play family games, sleep, rest, and do nothing all day. A home to me is also where families live, where people eat. Home is not just a home to me, it's a place to host family gatherings , to put the ornaments on the Christmas tree, and to eat warm cookies fresh out of the oven.
