The Meaning of home

As I walked through my doorway, the lingering scent of food drifted in the air. When I took off my boots, my parents gave my brother and I a warm greeting as we stepped on the hard wood tiles. Our family sits on the chairs by the table. One time that I felt home was when my family felt disconnected, so I brought up a game of UNOTM, which everyone was willing to play! After a few rounds, my family started to reconnect. Why I wrote this is because, for me, a home isn’t just a plain brick box, home is a place where I find support, courage, and knowledge. In the end, I now know that wherever I go, I will always carry my home with me. Now, my home is the memories that I find buried in the darkness. Home is also where I find creativity.
