The Meaning of Home

Home is a place filled with laughter and joy, home is a place where I can feel disappointed and sad, but then will always come back to happiness. I am home when I see people around me, like family or friends. Home has a specific smell that brings me memories and stories. Like when I smell homemade fettuccini alfredo, and it reminds me of Christmas Eve and we have a big potluck. Even though my home is a house, I feel most at home when I am not alone. I usually have an emotion that fits with the stories told around the fireplace. Home is where I come home from a busy day. Home is where I get comfortable on my couch and watch movies with my family. Home is where I get a good night's sleep, and then get ready for the next day. Home is filled with stories and memories, like when my cousins beg me to play with them.
