What is Home

What is home? Home isn’t just a place you live; home is a place where you feel safe, comfortable, and a memory just waiting to happen. Home makes me feel safe and loved. It’s somewhere you can be yourself and be whoever you want. It’s a place where you can tell your parents whatever you want while you eat your favourite dish at the dinner table. My home is a place where I get tucked in with an “I love you” and a kiss on the cheek. Home is a place where I practice football with my dad, and where I wake up at 5:00 to go to football practice. Home is a place where I unwrap my gifts on Christmas morning and have Thanksgiving dinner with my family. I always feel certain that my family will give me hugs and love no matter what. My parents comfort me after I come home from a bad day at school, or when I lose a football game. My home makes me feel peaceful and secure.
