Home's Never Perfect

My home is where I relax, play, draw, and imagine. I would love anywhere else such as outside or the library, but home is my favorite. My mom is a reliable source of comfort. She’s not perfect, but she’s my mom. My dad is a smart, strong, and friendly person. He’s made some mistakes, but he’s my dad. My sister is a cheerful but also annoying companion, especially when I do or say something wrong. She’s not the ideal sibling, but she’s my sister. These people in my life make home what it means to me. Even though there are moments I want to take back, or things I wish I wouldn’t have said, they’re there for me and I'm there for them. Sometimes I hate them and want to hide, but I love them and I know they love me. Even if I make weird stories and draw weird dragons they always will love me. Home isn’t just a place; it's the people you're with, the memories you make, and the stories you tell. Families don’t have to be blood related - they’re just warm and welcoming and make you feel sparkly like a soda. People and families are never perfect. Being perfect is looking in a mirror and accepting yourself no matter what colour, gender, or interest you have. My home isn’t perfect, but home is home, no matter who you’re with.
