Meaning of Home

You’re in the kitchen, it smells like food and sounds like a vacuum cleaner. It’s a typical day at home, scrolling on your phone then you see an eviction notice. You have to move to a different house. Everything feels different. It’s more quiet. There’s only a little bit of furniture. You have to say goodbye to everything you love. Soon, almost everything is gone, but your bed and dinner table. Also, the television is gone. Then, everything is gone except that For Sale sign on your front-yard. You remember so many things that happened from before. Like laughter on the dinner table, having family time, watching movies, eating pop corn and sweets. You remember when you felt so relaxed and happy. Now you moved and your family still continued family night and everything else. Now you feel like home is not just a roof over your head to block rain, it’s a place to be safe and loved.
